Hotel Le Provençal, A Place With Character
Run by the same family for three generations, Le Provençal has stayed true to its original family-style hospitality, its commitment to the art of living and authenticity. Our only priority is your wellbeing and comfort, allowing you to fully enjoy the company of your loved ones and to savour what is sure to be an unforgettable stay.
Built in 1951, the property boasts an architectural style typical of Provence, a charming feature its owners have always been committed to highlighting. Monsieur Michel, founder of Le Provençal, opened it in 1951 after leaving his prestigious position as Head Chef at the famous Lido cabaret in Paris to fulfil his dream of opening his very own establishment in a unique and peaceful location. This dream became a reality for him here in Giens, the Southernmost village on the Côte d’Azur.

Mediterranean Ambience
Current owners Benjamin and Damien Piffet are utterly passionate about the history of the hotel their grandfather founded, and their love for Provence permeates Le Provençal's décor, atmosphere and food. This new-generation duo, supported by a young and enthusiastic team, has infused the hotel's quality of service with a fresh dynamism.
This atmosphere is also apparent in the hotel's decor: its facade painted in typical Provence style, the landscaped pine grove, the "restanque" (a style of retaining wall characteristic of the region), sloping down to the sea, offering a gorgeous view of the Mediterranean.
In line with this passion for authenticity, Le Provençal also works with local artisans and producers: the fresh fish served in its restaurants is supplied by the fishermen of Niel and La Madrague, and they source their honey, and fresh vegetables and herbs from the Hyères area.
